Cava, Crémant, Champagne, OH MY!

If you’ve been following me, you know I love the bubbles. When I say bubbles, I mean sparkling wine.  There’s just something about the sparkle that explodes in your mouth after that first sip. I like to call it parrtayy!! LOL This post is just in time for New Years. If you’re looking for recommendations on what bubblies to pop this New Year’s Eve, I’ve got you covered.

Fun Fact: Not all sparkling wine is Champagne. Only wines from the region in Champagne, France can be called Champagne (noting a couple of exceptions). Everything else is called sparkling wine.

Sparkling wine is made many different ways and called many different things depending on the region it’s made in. Here is a little cheat sheet below of a few of the popular regions.

  • Cava = Spanish Sparkling wine

  • Prosecco = Italian Sparkling wine

  • Champagne = Sparkling wine from Champagne, France

  • Crémant = Sparkling wine made in 8 different appellations in France

Now, here is what you’ve come for, the list. Most of the wines below, you can find just about anywhere. Happy shopping!

Cava

Crémant

Prosecco

Champagne

I hope this list helps. There are still so many good options to choose from and I can go on for days.

My Friends, I hope you have a lovely New Year! Please drink responsibly and be safe. I pray this new year brings us all joy and peace.

xoxo - Tangie
